Git on down to Georgetown for the tastiest, progressive eating party in Seattle. Dozens of merchants, restaurants and bars offer food, drink, and more. It is a great way to experience the variety and diversity of the neighborhood’s small businesses while supporting the Georgetown Business Association. Georgetown hosts the first of a three-day, community-supported music festival in public spaces. This immersive festival is driven by the energetic performances of the street bands from around the world; New Orleans brass bands, punk rock marching bands, European Klezmer, Balkan and Romani music, Samba, Maracuatu all in the spirit of Mardi Gras and Carnival. Come celebrate community, collaboration and creative expression in Georgetown!

Through the Aviation and industrial expansion over the past century, the scrappy, Georgetown residential core remains to this day, a neighborhood that loves to garden. The inaugural walk commenced in 1996 to showcase green thumbs and community spirit that has grown to 30+ gardens and nurseries. All reflect a distinctive Georgetown style and personality, residential lot sized gardens that often feature creative uses of reclaimed and found objects.

Celebrate PRIDE with a neighborhood hangout and parade, Oxbow to Airport Way S. Family fun with live music, DJs, dancing, clowns, face painting, food, drink and more! Check out @georgetownpride on Instagram for more details!

Georgetown Super 8 is dedicated to the creation and sharing of amateur super 8 films to foster inclusive dialogue, ensuring a diversity of community voices can define, document, and tell stories from and of the Georgetown and Southpark neighborhoods in the Duwamish River Valley.

Georgetown, the birthplace of the Rainier Brewing Company hosts a 21+ street party with live music, games, and lots of Rainier Beer. Of course, the whole neighborhood is rich in other breweries, wineries, merchants, restaurants and bars that have fun events and good things to eat and drink while you enjoy R-Day.

The Georgetown Steam Plant fires up a mix of interactive, experimental, all age fun for the curious minded folk. Experience a  full weekend of  innovative, creative human ingenuity as science, history, technology, engineering, mathematics and art in all forms collide.
